Men can be difficult to buy for, as I am sure many of you know, I have definitely struggled over the years! So I thought it might be a good idea to jot down a few gift ideas to give a little inspiration as Valentines Day is just around the corner.

Portable speaker – The tinny noise that can come out of a phone when he plays his music out loud can get a little irritating. Invest in a portable speaker and its something he will love. You don’t have to go crazy and get a mega expensive one, I bought one for just £15 and it suits me just fine! See here.

Sports trainers – Doesn’t matter what sport he does, trainers are a necessity and its something men actually get excited about. If he is super picky create a handmade voucher with a set amount so he can pick out a pair himself. Basketball boots are what I would be buying!! See here.

Beer making kit – I saw this online and thought it was a great idea. Obviously not something I could share (highly glutenous) but I know its something he would get a kick out of as a beer lover! See here.

Mens pamper products – Again not something they would usually buy for themselves, but I do find my nice moisturizers and shampoos being ‘borrowed’ occasionally – so sometimes its nice for the men to have their products separate and specially for them. See similar here.

Scarf – The thing with scarves is, it’s not something he will usually buy for himself and with the cold weather still around, you don’t want him trying to steal yours. He will probably leave it in a pub somewhere after a couple of weeks, but at least you tried. I love this one from River Island, see here.

Dressing gown – I bought Dave a dressing gown, because he didn’t already own one (shock) and I just live in mine. Great for a snuggly night in or a Sunday morning watching movies. He didn’t know what he was missing! See here.

Date night cook book – I saw this on ASOS and thought it was very cute, simple dinner date night ideas for cooking up a romantic meal at home. I love ASOS for ideas like this, they continue to surprise me with the fun gifts they stock. See here.

Food – Well hello! Every man loves to eat!! Well I know mine does. Cook him up his favourite meal or sweet treat, perfect if your on a budget too. If need be, back him a batch of cookies!!! See my recipe here.

If you are looking to spoil your girlfriend / wife on the other hand, check out some of my favourite gifts I received over Christmas that I posted on earlier in the month HERE – a little something for the ladies with various price ranges.

I hope this gives you some inspiration for Valentines day, but don’t feel you have to go out and spend loads of money unless you really want to, a film and a home cooked meal can be just as meaningful!

I have another Valentines post / idea up my sleeve yet so stay tuned…
