Genius Gluten Free Afternoon Tea

by Katie Bucknell

When you have guests over during the afternoon, one of the best ways you can entertain them is by hosting an afternoon tea. Whilst this is already a challenging task, trying to make a gluten free afternoon tea can be even harder. That’s where Genius come in. With their full range of breads, muffins and bakery goods you can speed up the process and make a delicious gluten free afternoon tea with minimal effort.

The range of breads they offer provides multiple options, from seeded, brown, white and even toastie loaves to choose from. They have crumpets, muffins and bagels which all form the makings of a delicious afternoon tea.

For my afternoon tea I have used:

  • Genius Blueberry Muffins – A good size, full of flavour and lots of moisture.
  • Genius Crumpets – They taste like the real thing! Serve sweet with jam or savoury with cheese. Yum!
  • Genius Triple Seeded Farmhouse Loaf – packed with seeded for added texture and loads of nutrients. Great for making delicious sandwiches.
  • Genius plain bagels – The taste, texture and shape of these bagels is spot on. They are so easy to work with and you can jazz them up with any toppings. I have gone for the classic combination of cream cheese and salmon!

With all these products you have all the elements required for serving up an afternoon tea with minimal fuss. A tip would be to freeze your goods and defrost them too, Genius products taste just the same after freezing so I always keep a stock in my freezer, just in case friends pop round!

You can find Genius at all your major supermarkets.
