FORMAL FLORAL | Autumn Skater Dress

We headed to the Emirates stadium in London last week (yay for all you Arsenal fans… sorry I am a Man United gal) for an awards evening to celebrate some work Dave was involved in. We had a lovely evening and the stadium itself was spectacular! It was a real novelty to stand overlooking the stadium in all its glory whilst sipping on prosecco!

As always, I love any excuse to throw a dress on. I picked this skater dress up from ASOS for a wedding a short while ago, and ending up wearing it again to the awards too, happy it worked for both occasions! I thought the colours were perfect for coming into autumn, the bottle green with flowers and birds, to me, was the ideal representation of both summer and winter. It is lightweight, forgiving on the tummy and ideal for any dress up event. I have found myself wearing so many block colours recently, especially when it comes to dresses *cough… see last fashion post… cough* so I was very happy to find something I liked in print.

I often like to throw on wedges (or throw some Rollasoles in my bag) to avoid extreme foot pain, especially if I know we might have to do a little walking. I chose these old wedges I have literally had for years, I think they were from New Look way back when, but they have lasted me a lifetime!!

My bag is one you may have seen appear a few times on my blog recently, I bought it from Zara before my Italy trip in the summer and haven’t stopped using it. It is the perfect size to fit in my camera along with my phone, cards, lipstick etc – whilst protecting all of the contents. Zara you have done it again, no surprises there.

I hope you like this look, all outfit details can be found below!
